So I got Morrowind and am playing it again. I decided to go with a Wood Elf Archer born under the sign of the Lady. I also made her female, which I think may have been a mistake as her voice is ass-tastic. So, I am going to destroy my life again with this game.

Also there is a lot of information about Beatmania IIDX Happy Sky (AKA 12th Style) from the location tests. Most if not all are good. The 9 levels of previous difficulty (1 - 8 and flashing 8) has been upgraded to 12 levels of difficulty (it is not looking like the songs will be re-evaluated to fit into the 12 level scale, but the higher levels will be specified for…). Another level songs will be now rated. In other words Another level songs will not just have the same difficulty rating as their 7 Key version. Also the levels of difficulty are being changed. Light 7 = “Normal,” 7 Key = “Hyper,” Another = “Another.” So yea, IIDX is evolving into Pop’n Music. One other side note is that Konami is adding a user ajustable sudden, so in effect giving IIDX towel mode in game.

IIDX 9th Style: Now that I have played all the new songs at least once (and still no hidden songs) I have to say that I am not happy: not too much. I thought that IIDX was really progressing with 7th into 8th style and had high hopes for 9th, but they seemed to think it was a good idea to make new shitty songs. There is some really great stuff, but there is now also some really bad stuff. Anyways, some of my favorite songs made the retun list (Minimalian and Kamakaze) so over all it is a good mix, but there are certain songs that I will probably never play again. Also there are some really freaking hard 6* songs for some reason.

I couaght it like a cold, the need to look deeper into Morrowind. I now have a PC that would run it faster than a snail and never got the GotY edition for the Xbox (only played the original Xbox release) so I will probably buy the PC GotY edition.

I previously put over 150 hours into the game and know that I barely saw more than 1/3 the whole area. Luckily this is a game that I can play while I watch Sara play something else so that she can use the TV. So … I hope she will not mind too much. I just know that I can sink at least the same ammount of time into the game again, if not more.

Also I beat God Of War over the weekend.. . It was good. I could get into more about it, but no one seems to agree with me on those points, so I will just leave it at good, unless requested to get into more detail.

Also I have a color guard event early tomorrow and will be out of town tonight and tomorrow. Pascagoula here I come.

Tomorrow is my birthday, might as well tell you all with at least a little warning.

I got some presents, some from myself, some from others. I took a gift card to GameStop and traded in MGS3 (which I got as a gift which was a duplicate) and came home with: Night Shade, LaPucelle Tactics, Phantom Dust and God of War. Possibly sometime tomorrow I will get in Beatmania 9th Style and Dororo. Also a special … err legal friend has ushered Ninja Gaiden and Metal Slug 3 (Xbox) my way. I still have not seen or heard an update on Super Metroid and Earthbound, so there may be a birthday supprise there. I also (as you may know) got myself Disgaea recently which came much quicker than expected. I also have video games still backed up from Xmas and just random purchases.

Aparently I have decided to swamp myself in video games for turning 24.

Well, my package just got accepted at the HK post office… looks like I will not have this in time for my birthday even with EMS… aside from like an act of God or something. Oh well, I have opened OutRun2 and should be starting Disgaea tonight. That should tide me over.

I convinced my wife not to put the dog in the paper. She already did it so we will just have to tell people who call that she is no longer available. Thank you all for the comments yesterday, I was quite upset about it.

Well, Pokemon Fire Red has gotten some more attention from me. I cant decide wether I hate it or enjoy it. On one hand it feels like Pokemon Yellow all over again. Not just remake “all over again”, it feels the same. I am going to go about this one different than I did Pokemon Yellow though. I am not going to worry about the pokemon I dont care about. I will just put them on SOMEONE’S PC and leave them there. I might finish this one even…

Well, Gmail banned me. Sort of. I was downloading all the (Damn you IC!) MP3s that I have on there to clear some room. I got about… 1/3 the way through and then Gmail came up and said that I was abusing the system and have been locked out for 24 hours. Ok, seriously, wtf? I have important shit that goes to that email account and I did not even get a warning. Bah.

I also had to run to Best Buy to get a USB jumpdrive removable media device. I was having problems with my network and filesharing, and Microsoft basically made the wizard so that you have either a USB media device or so that your a tech guru. So I after a few days of trying to get this working I decided to break down and get one of the damn things… I can also use it for holding GT4 pictures and, you know, stuff. Plus I got a really really good deal on it.

So the whole reason for telling that story is that I bought 2 PC games. I have not bought a PC game in a long time, and both these games were released before the last PC game I got (which was Neverwinter Nights). I don’t really find myself enjoying or attracted to most PC games. Star Craft and Neverwinter Nights are the only PC games I have enjoyed since the turn of the melinium. I am excluding PC games that are net based or freeware… or that are available on a console.

These games were Black & White and Bad Mojo. Bad Mojo is really excellent, if not extreamly cheesy at points. It shows that it is an older game with the FMV parts, but the exploration is just fantastic and the restraints/boundries are pretty realistic (in that your willing suspension of disbelife is never questioned). Black and White is just… huge. At lease it seems that way. I am not sure I should have gotten it as I like to do silly things like… replant trees.

So yea. There.

Well I got pretty drunk last night. It is the first time since around new years, but it was because I was entertaining Sara’s Cousin Alias. He drank one more hand gernade than me and a shot. Well… yea luckily I don’t have a hangover, just a mild headache.

Let me first tell you that I really like Wikipedia. I like what it stands for and I like that I can end up learning about Napoleon when I just wanted to find out what a counter-culture is.

My magazine is apparently the epitome of NGJ. I don’t know whether to jump up and down or cry. I don’t like the term/label of NGJ but… well someone wrote it better:
