Some reading

I have been working a lot lately, so sorry that I have not been too active. Anyways, I have gotten a bit of reading done: Sound of Waves and the first part of The Sailor Who Fell From Grace With The Sea. Both are by Yukio Mishima, and both are about as different and yet similar as can be.

Seryogin kept telling me that The Sound Of Waves was ok, but not really Mishima. I am really glad I read it first. I enjoyed the book a lot, and particular parts were very good. It is a fairly simple love story that is perfect in many ways, and even gets the ending right (which I was pretty worried it would not). There were a few sections that really stood out to me, and it impacted me overall fairly deeply.

Then I read the first chapter of The Sailor Who Fell From Grace With The Sea.

I was completely blown away with it, and just that chapter alone was greater than the entirety of Sound of Waves out of the water. I ate the rest of the first part of the book up like candy, and even fought of sleep for an extra hour to finish it. It was very hard to fight off the sleep, but it was worth it in the end.

I am going to probably consume the rest of the book right now, and then will hopefully watch Akira Kurosawa’s Dreams. I hope I will. I think that part of the reason that I have not been watching movies is because this sofa chair is not too comfortable, so I transferred the movie to my PSP and plan on watching it in bet. It looks kind of bad on the PSP, but I encoded it at as high a quality as I could and still fit it on my memory card. Hopefully it worked.

EDIT: I just added a bunch of people to my friends list. Where the hell did you all come from, and why did you not alert me to the fact that you were friending me?

Also I organised my desktop and changed my theme to pearlthane which makes my desktop really soft and gorgeous, but no longer went with my Ibara theme. So I made a custom background of the Mega Man Legends poster. Fuck, Mega Man Legends is such a great game.
