Screw GoW II
As some of you may know: I found God of War for the PlayStation 2 to be one of the most offensivly written games I’ve ever played. Combine this with some of the most fluid and, at points, awe striking games I played that year I was in severe pain.
Today while browsing Gamasutra I came across their most recent Critical Reception (’sup sardius) and found this quote in there:
“‘I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention God of War II’s storyline as one of the major draws of the title,’ Graziani notes in particular. ‘Simply put, this game rivals Hollywood as far as production values and artistry are concerned. Each snippet of Kratos’ infernal struggle is lovingly crafted and the mood of the game positively pours out of the television screen. It’s just unbelievably gorgeous.’”
That’s some serious bs Graziani is throwing around. Or he’s never experienced a well written story of internal struggle and has to settle for the immature brand of it from comic books and pornography.
