Toils of Labor
So I just got back from seeing The Shining, and the film is still amazing. Tomorrow morning (later today) I head off to the St. Louis Japanese festival. After a couple hours there I’m going to be driving to Chicago to spend Labor Day with family, exciting!
I’m going to be taking Metroid II with me and my GBC (i don’t like playing GB games on a GBA). I haven’t played M2 in a couple years now, and it seems like the perfect length game for the trip.
I’m also taking Boktai in hopes of playing it again, but I don’t know if I actually will.
Anyways, I won’t be online much between now and wed. next week. FYI and all.
The Shining—my number one favourite movie! Was it an old print that you saw? The one time I watched it in a theatre, it was a print that was pretty old and faded. Was it projected so it was cropped to 16:9?
I think it was cropped to 2.35:1, but I can’t remember off hand. It was an old print and the audio was all kinds of terrible, but the quality of video was better than I expected it to be.
